How do I know if I have BVD?
Common signs include chronic headaches, dizziness, motion sickness, light sensitivity, anxiety, reading difficulty, neck pain, and eye fatigue. If these symptoms haven’t responded to other treatments, BVD could be the cause. A NeuroVisual® Evaluation is the most reliable way to find out. We also have a symptom questionnaire on our website that can help you gauge your likelihood before booking. Click here to start the symptom questionnaire.
Can I have BVD if I have 20/20 vision?
Absolutely. 20/20 means you can see clearly at a distance. BVD is about whether your two eyes are properly aligned and working together as a team, which is a completely different thing. Many BVD patients have been told their eyes are “fine” for years before finding answers through a NeuroVisual® Evaluation.
Can children be treated with TheraLens?
Yes. BVD can affect kids too, and it often shows up as reading trouble, attention problems, or frequent headaches. TheraLens can be prescribed for children after a NeuroVisual® Evaluation. Just mention your child’s age and symptoms when you contact us.
I tried prism lenses before and they didn’t work. Should I still try TheraLens?
Definitely worth exploring. Standard prism lenses weren’t designed for NeuroVisual Treatment, and most aren’t manufactured with the precision that microprism treatment requires. TheraLens uses a much higher level of manufacturing precision and a two-phase treatment process that standard prism doesn’t offer. Many patients who didn’t respond to conventional prism prescriptions find lasting relief through TheraLens.
